Inaugural Lecture by Professor Brian Seger: "Using Catalysis to make an Impact in the Sustainable Energy Transition" In this talk I will start with my quest to find a useful topic to study to benefit society and describe the meandering path it has taken me through to my current work in CO2 electrolysis.

Organic chemicals is one of the hardest to abate sector for CO2 emissions, but a CO2 electrolysis process that can produce 12 different products can go a long way in getting us there.

PhD student Jan Engelhardt will defend his thesis 'Reconfigurable Batteries in Electric Vehicle Fast Chargers: Towards Renewable-Powered Mobility' on Friday, 10 February at 13:00.

Ruwei Yao will defend his thesis "Synthesis of an alkaloid inspired compound collection", Friday 10 February at 13:00. The defend will take place at DTU, Building 303A, Aud. 44.

PhD student Christoffer Vinther Sørensen will defend his PhD thesis: "Neutralizing snake toxins with monoclonal antibodies – Discovery, engineering, and new pharmacology" on Thursday 9 February 2023, at 13:00 at DTU Lyngby, building 101, room S09.

Torben Gert Jensen er ansat hos Adding Engineering som Projektingeniør i Ballerup afdelingen.

Torben er uddannet Svagstrømsingeniør fra Ingeniørhøjskolen Københavns Teknikum.
Han har 33 års erhvervserfaring som Projektingeniør og har arbejdet for en lang række virksomheder, senest Novenco Building & Industry, GEA Process Engineering og Cook Medical.

Han er uddannet Svagstrømsingeniør og er en del af S-250 gruppen under Dansk Standard, der udarbejder standarder i forhold til Functional Safety.

Intelligent Systems har valgt at ansætte Søren Svendgaard som vores nye Økonomichef, der skal bidrage til en bedre og hurtigere indsigt i vores forretningsresultater.

Udover det daglige arbejde som Økonomichef vil Søren forbedre interne systemer og processer for at understøtte Intelligent Systems strategier og vækstambitioner.

Dette omfatter blandt andet implementering af Business Central, et datavarehus og anvendelse af business intelligence (BI) og kunstig intelligens (AI), der kan understøtte organisationen med relevant indsigt i udvikling og fremskridt.

PhD student Nianzhe He will defend his thesis "Identifying oxysterol interacting proteins through specific degradation" Wednesday 8 February at 9:00. The defend will take place at DTU Lyngby, Building 303A, Aud. 49.

Removing ice and snow from airplanes is a necessary and safety-critical process to enable reliable air transport in the cold winter months at many airports around the world. Most often, specialized de-icing trucks are used for this purpose, operated by trained operators, to ensure that the airplanes can take off and safely fly passengers and cargo to their destination. These operators currently handle almost every aspect of the de-icing process manually.
