Gravity assist)... !

Remarks by NASA Deputy Administrator Gregory. Centennial of Flight Commemoration Citat: "... Indeed, eight years before Orville and Wilbur Wright took their home-built flyer to the sandy dunes of Kitty Hawk, cranked up the engine, and took off into the history books, Lord Kelvin, the President of the Royal Society of England made a forceful declaration. Heavier than air flying machines are impossible," said this very powerful man of science....Rumor has it Lord Kelvin was slightly in error. ... President John F. Kennedy once remarked, "We need men and women who can dream of things that never were." ..."

Weird science versus revolutionary science, backup: Citat: "... While it's true that at least 99% of revolutionary announcements from the fringes of science are just as bogus as they seem, we cannot dismiss every one of them without investigation. ... Below is a list of scientists who were reviled for their crackpottery, only to be later proven correct. Today's science texts are dishonest to the extent that they hide these huge mistakes made by the scientific community. They rarely discuss the acts of intellectual suppression which were directed at the following researchers by their colleagues. And... after wide reading, I've never encountered any similar list.[1] This is very telling. ..."

F.eks.:

Ohms lov og opdageren og videnskabsmanden Georg S. Ohm blev gjort til grin af videnskaben: George S. Ohm (Ohm's Law) Citat: "...Ohm's initial publication was met with ridicule and dismissal; called "a tissue of naked fantasy." Approx. twenty years passed before scientists began to recognize its great importance. See M. Schagrin, "Resistance to Ohm's Law," American Journal of Physics, #31 pp536-547 1963. ..."

“crackpots” who were right 12: Georg Ohm Citat: "...Ohm’s masterly empirical work was ignored while his theory was torn apart. His harsh critics in germany called it a “web of naked fancies”. Another reviewer said the book’s ”sole effort is to detract from the dignity of nature.” The hardest blow came from the German Minister of Education who said that “a professor who preached such heresies was unworthy to teach science.” Ohm had hoped for a new position as a university professor but now he was forced to give up even his job as a lowly paid school teacher. His life was in ruins...In 1843 the Royal Society awarded him the Copley Medal. At that point he might have seen better fortune at home but he tempted fate with theory of acoustics that led to a dispute with the German scientist August Seebeck. It was not until 1852 that he finally appointed to the chair of physics at the University of Munich. He died two years later. In 1881 his name was imortalised when the Ohm was officially adopted as the unit of resistance..."

Wright bros (flying machines) Citat: "...After their Kitty Hawk success, The Wrights flew their machine in open fields next to a busy rail line in Dayton Ohio for almost an entire year. American authorities refused to come to the demos, and Scientific American Magazine published stories about "The Lying Brothers." [] Even the local Dayton newspapers never sent a reporter (but they did complain about all the letters they were receiving from local "crazies" who reported the many flights.) [] Finally the Wrights packed up and moved to Europe, where they caused an overnight sensation and sold aircraft contracts to France, Germany, Britain, etc. ..."

John L. Baird (television camera): Citat: "...When the first television system was demonstrated to the Royal Society (British scientists,) they scoffed and ridiculed, calling Baird a swindler...."

THE "TELEVISOR". SUCCESSFUL TEST OF NEW APPARATUS. From The Times (London), Thursday 28 January 1926, p. 9 column C..

gravityassist.com: The Creation of a new Theory of Space Travel -- Gravity Propelled Space Travel: Citat: "... When Minovitch presented it to JPL in the form of 47 page technical paper dated August 23, 1961, it was dismissed by the head of JPL’s Trajectory Group as impossible [] How could a young graduate student in mathematics and physics who never studied the problem of space propulsion, space travel or astrodynamics before the summer of 1961 ever invent a completely new theory of space travel ..."

var brødrene virkelig de første?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claims_to_...

Undtagen for brødrene Wright". Jeg vil anta at få rundt 1900 avviste muligheten for å fly.
