Denne referanse beviser at oppfinnelser kommer når tiden er moden! Ca samtidig med brødrene Wright var det flere personer rundt i verden som oppfant det første flyet. Det man hadde manglet var en liten og lett motor!
Overskriften her lyder: "Al erfaring viste, at flyvning ikke kunne lade sig gøre. Undtagen for brødrene Wright". Jeg vil anta at få rundt 1900 avviste muligheten for å fly. En kunne jo stadig se fugler kunne kunsten. Noen påstod at noe som var tyngre enn luft ikke kunne fly, men den antagelsen ble jo motvist hver dag (av fugler). Lilienthal har forsket på flygning og styrt glideflukt mange tiår før brødrene Wright. Han gjorde grunnleggende forskning innen aerodynamikk og flyvingenes form. Grovt sett så manglet man bare en lett motor for å gå videre og kopiere fuglene. Det var det hundrevis av mennesker rundt i verden som skjønte mange år før brødrene Wright (første flyving 1903). Ingen av disse gikk så dypt inn i materien som brødrene som klarte å bygge et styrbart fly med en forbløffende effektiv propell (virkningsgrad større enn 80%).
Og resten er historie som man sier!
amatører tænker IKKE den slagne vej, derfor kommer der mange gode resultater ud af dem. Professorer/folk med langtidserfaring har samme evne, men på et meget bedre grundlag. AMATØRER er ide-makere brug dem meget mere.

Måske, det er en tolkning, og jeg synes ikke det ene udelukker det andet. Ret mig, hvis jeg har uret, men jeg mener, at der et andet sted i USA var en fyr ved navn Langley, som var videnskabeligt uddannet, og som også arbejdede på at udvikle en flyvemaskine. Men den videnskabelige metode kom til kort overfor brødrenes ildhu, (amare = elske, amatør = en der gør det, fordi han elsker det). Den del kan jeg kun bifalde. Det er jo så påfaldende, hvordan flyvningen efterfølgende gik i stå i USA, fordi der gik forretning og jura i det. Brødrene stod på deres patentrettigheder og ville tjene milllioner på deres opfindelse, selvom de blot var de første med noget som mange andre var tæt på at nå frem til. Derfor var det franskmændene, som først fik glæde af flyets muligheder. Jeg konkluderer ikke lige så kategorisk som du, men der er givetvis en masse at lære af historien.
